Merry Christmas!

Hello!

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and I hope you have a great Christmas. Yes, I've been busy and I sometimes forget that I even have a blog. I'll be honest. However, I come back every time and I won't leave you completely without a post saying so.

Happy Holidays and remember, Jesus is the reason for the season!

Omygosh I'm sorry!

Hello!!

I did something really silly. I typed in my web address to this page instead of logging in to blogger through google. I was shocked and honestly disgusted at the look of my blog. Then, I started to giggle a little because obviously I didn't do a preview before posting the change.

I fixed it. I changed the background to fall because I love fall. I love all seasons. I love how things change and then there's something new and exciting. I guess I love new and exciting. I don't like being at the same job everyday. I mean, I work at the same location but my job changes. I'm constantly learning new things and I love that. I thrive on that. I don't think I could do the same thing everyday. I've tried and my brain gets bored and starts to wander off. I actually hate that feeling.

I guess also that's why my art changes. I don't keep doing the same type of art everyday. I get bored and move onto a different project.

I still tie dye. I am trying a new process called "low water immersion". It makes a more solid shirt but it makes a really cool design. I will be posting a few pictures when I make more shirts. I made one shirt so far and it didn't look that bad. I actually like it but there are a few white spots in it I have to fix. I'm also working in my head how I'm going to photograph the design because it's not very dark like normal tie dye. The design is very subtle.

Take care while I work all these things out. As always, thanks for reading my blog. I appreciate you all!

Such is Life

 Hello!!

I'm sorry I haven't posted in awhile. There are a lot of things going on right now. I was sick with a sinus infection for almost 2 weeks. Then, I pulled a muscle in my shoulder. I'm back strong now and I have been working on different projects.

I had to put tie dye on hold because I struggle finding time and space to do it. Actually, I have to be honest. I am just not in the mood like I was. I really don't know why. It could be the season has changed to fall. Tie dye is a summer thing. No one at my job really likes tie dye. No one has even asked me for a shirt in quite awhile. How can I have a business if no one wants my product? How can I even make product if I don't have the desire anymore? These are tough questions.

In the meantime, I've been drawing more and turning toward painting. It's something I can do in steps and it's not a long and lengthy process like tie dying is. I can come up with the ideas during the week and paint it on the weekend.

I hope your path in life is a little more clearer than mine is right now. I honestly follow where the art wind blows. I'm sure I'm not alone.

Take care and God bless all of you

Prayer

Hello!

I am going to talk about prayer. I know for some people, prayer is very difficult. Some don't know how to pray at all. Some think that talking to God requires some eloquent words. Some sit down or kneel to pray and have no idea where to start.

God does not want this for you! God is our Heavenly Father. He is very easy to talk to once you get to know Him. I would start reading about the life of Jesus starting in the New Testament. Then I would start with Genesis and go from there. You have to understand WHO you are talking to in order to know what to say. Each person prays differently. I believe it's sort of a learned style.

A well known prayer is "The Lord's Prayer" found in Matthew 6:5-14

“And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.

“Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
13 And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

For me I didn't know what to say either. My prayers started very one-sided. I asked God for the things I wanted like a spiritual Christmas List. Then, I started to pray for other people and try to put my own needs last. Then,  I began really reading the Bible and learning more about God and my prayers became more intense and focused on specific needs of others. I seem to know what they need without them even telling me! Most times, I don't know what to pray. I just start speaking and the words just start coming out of me. I love to pray. I love to pray for anything. I love hearing from God what He has to say back to me.

I do have to tell you, it might be a long road to get to where you want to be in prayer. It's worth it though. Any work you do for God is never in vain. It's always worth it. It will fulfill you like nothing else will.

Take care friends. God bless.

New Turn

 Hello!!

I appreciate everyone that reads this blog. I have some news though. I will not be opening up my shop online like I had previously planned. I will not be taking orders. I am cutting way back on how much I will be tie dying. I might occasionally for friends make a shirt or two.

I have to do this because I have a new job that is long hours. I wanted this job. This was my choice. I am not sad or depressed about this change. It is what it is.

*********************

That being said, my blog is taking a new turn. I will be posting more of a reading blog that will be more of art and questions about Christianity and the Bible. I hope you all stay and keep reading. Feel free to post comments. I will filter out the bad ones. Please include your name so I know who to reply to.

Love you all

Changes

 Hello!!

There have been lots of changes in my life recently. I have lost a dear friend of mine whom was like a big sister to me. Also, we moved from an apartment into a house. This is why I haven't been keeping up with posts lately.

I will be starting to tie dye soon. I also have a few other projects I'm working on. If you read this and would like to buy a t-shirt, mask or any other dyed item, send me an email. Thanks for reading!! I really appreciate it!

If you are interested in buying a t-shirt, email me. We can set something up. I have many ways to pay for a shirt even though I don't have an online store ... yet.

Ohio weather πŸ˜’

Hello!!

πŸ˜’ This is my current mood. I am battling with having the desire to do tie dying. I know it's because it's extremely cold outside and all I want to do is sit around covered in a blanket.

Don't worry though. I know my mood is only temporary. I know as soon as the temperature goes up a little bit I'll snap out of it. I know how I get. Also, it's way too cold to wear t-shirts. I didn't dye any long sleeved shirts because I didn't think I'd be wearing them that long. I just didn't see a point in doing it. Also, I didn't have anyone ask me if I dye them. I just went on this tie dye "hibernation" for awhile. I've also been getting ideas I want to try this spring/summer.

Try to stay warm if it's cold where you live. If you're where it's sunny...can you send some to Ohio? I'm freezing!! πŸ₯ΆπŸ₯ΆπŸ₯ΆπŸ₯Ά

Love you all,

New Dye & More Shirts Store is OPEN!

 Hello!!

I haven't officially opened a store yet. I say yet because I hope one day I'll be able to. I don't want to rush a good thing. I'm patient for the right time. Until then, if you would like a shirt, we can make payment arrangements. You just have to send me and email.

The colors are basically the same. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, black and gray. I usually don't use more than 3 colors at a time unless that's what you want. Any more than 3 colors is $2 per color. $15 for sizes small - XL.. $2 more for 2X and up.

I use high quality heavy-weight Gildan shirts. They last a long time and the dye is professional dye. You'll wear the shirt out before the dye fades.

I can have the shirt done in 2 weeks. It's a long process. I take my time to produce a great quality shirt. This isn't backyard tie dye. I am an artist and a professional. I just don't mass-produce shirts. I would rather the customer pick the colors they like and I will do my "magic" to make the shirt look good.

I use simple designs. That way the outcome is fairly predictable. I am always impressed with how good the dye looks. The colors are so vibrant. The shirts really do look store-bought.

Have a great week. This is just a little update.
