Working on Sunday

 Hello!!

I have had something on my mind off and on. Is it wrong to do work on Sunday?

No matter what I do, I find Sundays to be one of my busiest days. We wake up and get ready to go to church and soon, Sundays for us are going to get even busier since we are starting a church. So, usually I've been trying to take most of Saturday off and spend time with the kids.

So, I was reading the Bible today and ran across this verse. "Then Jesus said to them,' I will ask you one thing: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or do evil, to save life or to destroy?" Luke 6:9.

Bottom line is, I try to take time off. I try to take time off for the kids and spend time with them. I try not to get burdened down with work or other things. Cleaning the house can wait. Dishes can wait a little while. I want to enjoy my life and relax. When I find myself not doing that, I check my priorities.

Satan wants us to be overwhelmed, anxious and frustrated with life. He doesn't want peace, joy or happiness. So, when I feel that my life is chaotic and busy, that's when I ask God to help me find time to relax, slow down, and take time for my relationship with Him, my family, and myself.

God Bless,

Happy Friday!

New Church!

Hello! We have been very busy. We are starting a new church in Toledo, Ohio! This church will be a sister church to One Accord Ministries in Allensville, Kentucky. I have been busy building our website and facebook page. I am also looking at making t-shirts and hats for both churches to sell as a fund-raiser. I am so super excited. Also, today we are going to make the final payment on the church building in Toledo! Next, we have to start taking down walls and preparing for it to be open for services.

This is the building ready to be transformed into a church. 1625 Starr Ave. Toledo, OH

I will be posting updates here and also on Facebook at our One Accord Ministries webpage.

Update

 Hello!

Well, a lot has changed for me in the past few weeks. My father died and left me his savings and house. I miss my father greatly and it's so hard to talk about without getting teary-eyed. He left me a lot of money. In turn, we bought two vehicles and we are looking at opening up my business. This is the one I've dreamed about, the one I had to close. Well, I'm reopening it. I'll be opening it online.

Also, my husband and I are going to be starting a church here in Ohio. He is newly-ordained. We will be opening this church as a sister church to One Accord Ministries in Elkton, Kentucky. We are very excited. We are also a little scared but only because we have no idea what we're doing. We are having to rely 100% on God.

That's what we're supposed to do anyway, right? We're supposed to lean on Him and trust Him completely. Fear always tries to grip us and hold us back from reaching our potential. For the first time in my life, I'm trying to let go completely. I have to tell you, it's not easy. It takes a lot of prayer and Bible reading.

I will keep you posted, as always. I will continue this blog not only for others to get inspiration, but as a documentation of my journey. I want to look back and see the wonderful things God is doing through my faithfulness.

God bless you all! Thanks for reading and staying with me!
